# AccuLynx

> Link to jobs and share back project status updates and sales documents.

## Enable and use the Acculynx connector

This article explains how to connect XBuild to AccuLynx using our pre-built  connector, allowing XBuild to search for and link to jobs. And then share back project status updates and proposal documents for each XBuild sales milestone.

To connect your AccuLynx account via an API key, you must first enable the necessary add-on and then generate a key from your administrative settings. You must be logged into AccuLynx as an Administrator to generate an API key. Connectors require an XBuild Pro Subscription Plan or greater.

**1. Enable the AppConnections Add-On**

Before you can generate a key, you must have the **AppConnections** feature enabled in your account.

* Log in to your [**<u>AccuLynx account</u>**](https://acculynx.com/) as an **Administrator**.
* Navigate to the **Marketplace** (often found in the top toolbar).
* Locate the [**<u>AppConnections listing</u>**](https://acculynx.com/appconnections/) and click **Enable**.

**2. Generate Your API Key**

Once AppConnections is active, follow these steps to create a new key:

* Click on your name or the **Gear icon** in the upper right corner and select **Account Settings**.
* In the left-hand sidebar, scroll down to the **Add-On Features and Integration** section.
* Select **API Keys**.
* Click **Manage Connections** or **Create Key**.
* Provide a **Name** for the key (e.g., "XBuild ATL" or "XBuild MD") and select a **Lead Source** if prompted.
* Click **Create Key**, then immediately **Copy** the generated key. **Important:** Store it securely, as it may not be fully visible again later.

**3. Use the Key for Authentication**

When connecting, paste the key into the "API Key"  field provided by XBuild.

**Troubleshooting Common Issues**

* **Validation Error:** Ensure the key is exactly as copied—the API key is different from the name of the API Key.
* **Permissions:** API keys are tied to specific company locations. If you have multiple locations, ensure the key was generated for the correct one.
