Working with connectors
Connectors link XBuild to the tools your business already runs on so project data moves without re-typing. An XBuild Administrator sets up each connector from Settings → Connectors, per Location; it’s then available on every project. CompanyCam is available on every plan; the others require an XBuild Pro Subscription Plan or greater.1. The connectors
Pulled files become project context the AI reads when building your scope. Nothing pushes to a tool you haven’t linked; unlinking or disconnecting stops future syncing, and anything already imported stays.
2. Where you use connectors
- Project page Connectors section — linked tools first, then connected ones. Click a row to link a record, import files and photos, or order a report (Linking… while running, Connected when done). - Creating a project — Import from Connectors prefills a new project from a CRM job, QuickBooks customer, or CompanyCam project. See Projects overview.
- Estimator’s Connect menu — Connect in the chat composer; connected tools first, Add connectors for the rest. Pulled files attach to your next message. See Creating an estimate.
3. Troubleshooting common issues
- Missing from Settings → Connectors, or locked on the project page. Needs Pro or greater (except CompanyCam) and the right Location. A locked row opens the upgrade flow.
- Connected, but nothing on my project. Linking the project to a job, customer, or report starts the flow.
- “Linking…” never finishes. Large imports take a while; the state is held even if you close the hub. Refresh, then reopen the row to retry.
- Data stopped syncing. Connections can expire or be revoked on the other side — check Settings → Connectors and reconnect.
