Three kinds of scheduled work
“Schedule this” can mean different things in XBuild. Each works differently, so check which one you’re relying on.
Scheduling, work orders, and automations are part of Business plan operations; see Plan comparison.
One-time scheduling
Rex can help you find open work and prepare a work order schedule change for approval. After approving, open the work order and confirm the date, time, crew, and Location are right. To schedule directly on the Calendar, use Calendar itself. See Act with Rex.Event-triggered automations
Automations run when something happens on a project, such as a stage change. They aren’t time-based. Review and edit them in Settings → Workflow, and check a project’s Activity tab, where available, to see moves made by automation.Recurring reports
Availability and controls depend on your account. Confirm recurring reporting with XBuild Support before relying on it. Asking Rex for a weekly report doesn’t by itself create a recurring job. Until you’ve verified one exists:- Look for a saved job with the cadence, time zone, recipients, and approval status shown.
- Check each value matches what you asked for.
- Keep checking the report manually until you’ve seen it arrive as expected.
Troubleshooting
- A report I asked for never arrived. Check whether a saved recurring job exists. If none does, the request wasn’t activated. Contact support.
- A report arrived at the wrong time. Check the saved time zone.
- The wrong people received it. Check the recipient list and approval status.
- A project moved stage on its own. A built-in move or automation did it; see Pipeline stages.
- A crew date didn’t change after I approved. Open the work order and confirm the result before asking again.
