Cancelling your XBuild subscription

You can cancel any XBuild plan yourself, at any time, from the billing portal. Cancellation stops your renewal: you keep everything you paid for until the end of the current period. You must be an XBuild Administrator to cancel. Cancelling is not deleting your account — projects, proposals, and photos stay in place (see step 5 for deletion).

1. Cancel your plan

  1. Open Billing — from the main navigation, or under Settings.
  2. Click Manage on the plan card to open the secure billing portal.
  3. Choose to cancel your subscription and confirm.
The plan card then shows Expires with the end of your paid period, plus “Your plan will not renew.” To change your mind before that date, open Manage again — or contact support.

2. When the cancellation takes effect

3. What happens to unused tokens

Through the end of your paid period, tokens stay available and spend normally. Cancellation doesn’t shorten any grant’s expiry: plan tokens last until the renewal date they were granted for (the date your cancelled plan expires), and top-up and auto-refill tokens keep their 1-month-from-purchase expiry. See How tokens work. If you have a large purchased balance, contact support@x.build before cancelling and we’ll walk through your options.

4. Unpaid invoices

Some charges are invoiced on payment terms rather than paid up front — most notably insurance supplement fees. If a payment fails, XBuild emails you and keeps retrying while you fix your payment method in Settings → Wallet. If an invoice goes more than 14 days past due, your account can be automatically suspended: you get an email, you can’t start new paid work, and ongoing claim-approval efforts are paused. Settle the invoices in Billing → Transactions, then contact support to restore your account. Cancelling your subscription doesn’t erase invoices you already owe.

5. Deleting your account

Deletion is permanent — you lose access to your projects and proposals, and it can’t be reversed.
  • In the mobile app, open Settings and choose Delete Account. You confirm twice.
  • Or email support@x.build from the address on your account.
If you’re an Administrator on a company with other members, sort out the handoff first — deletion removes you, not your teammates.

6. Troubleshooting common questions

  • I cancelled but I’m still being charged. A charge dated before period end is your final period. Later charges are usually invoiced project fees or an auto-refill that’s still enabled — identify it in Billing → Transactions and turn off auto-refill if you no longer want automatic purchases.
  • I cancelled by mistake. You have full access until your period ends. Open Manage from the Billing tab to review your subscription, or contact support to restore your renewal.
  • I want a refund on my annual plan. Annual plans don’t carry mid-year refunds or credits — you keep the plan and its tokens through the year you paid for.
  • My account was suspended — how do I get it back? Pay the past-due invoices in Billing → Transactions (each row opens its invoice), then contact XBuild Support. Suspension doesn’t delete anything.
  • The Manage button isn’t there for me. Plan changes and cancellation are admin-only.
